Well your opinion does not offend me. After all if we all thought correctly, which is like me, this word would be a very boring place seeing all these lifted trucks on 37s with gears and no engine mods. Shoot, then my truck wouldn't stand out as much, or be an eye sore to people of your opinion. It takes all kinds to make the word go around, and I don't consider it bashing one bit. But yes i do enjoy lifts and larger tires, but hey it's my wife's money, I shall spend t how I see fit hahaha.
With the G56, you can modify your truck as you wish and not worry about if the transmission needs reprogramming. With an automatic, you might mess up how smooth your ride is because the automatic is programmed for stock build specs
I still think Ram should offer the 3.73 and/or 4.10 gears in the SRW trucks for people that want to tow and/or put slightly bigger tires on.....
Pretty simple just use 5th it's the same RPM as run ing 6th with 4:10's. With the Aisin the load gets rolling easily even with the 3:42's.

What percent of RAM get a manual transmission. So they will most likely drop it completely like GM and Ford.
Quote from truck trend:
"If you still like to pretend you're an over-the-road long-haul trucker but don't have a Class A license, the Ram 2500 and 3500 might be the truck for you. The only full-size trucks still available with a manual transmission, both flavors of Ram HD offer a stick with the Cummins 6.7-liter turbodiesel I-6 (the gasoline-powered Hemi V-8 is auto-only). You do sacrifice some 150 lb-ft of torque by going for the stick, as the manual Cummins is rated at 650 lb-ft while the automatic puts out 800 lb-ft, but thanks to the ample aftermarket support for the Cummins, making up that torque deficit and then some is probably not much more than a re-flash away. Just be prepared to sacrifice the Ram's 5-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty when you do so."
One has to be a bit crazy to modify one of these new trucks and void the warranty!
Snoking

But what is the point of a six speed than?
A lot of guys want to go to larger tires, 35s and 37s are really popular....RAM should offer the 4.10s from the factory for SRW and let the dealers reprogram the computers to keep the speedo correct.... I have 4.10s in my 2016 dually and it pulls like a ox![]()
I didn't take offense brother. It's all good. I was being sincere too

I wanted the 3.73, if I had the option for 4.10 and ran 37s id be where I am now.
Exactly one of the reasons I wanted the g56. Plus I actually enjoy driving as opposed to riding
