i am thinking about getting some springs made from national spring. does anyone have anything to say good or bad about their experience with them. from what i have read it seems like mostly positive comments. I have a skyjacker 4. 5 lift so i am going to have to get the springs with some lift on them. what would be a good tongue weight to tell them i don't pull that often but i don't want it to sag when i put something in the bed or two jet skies or something like that. i am thinking about 750 or 800lbs that should be plenty for me. thank for the input

Tpruitt,

I had them do a pack for me 2 years ago. All in all i am very happy w/ the results with one exception. I requested a 1 in lift to match my 3 in spacer in front. After install my truck was 1 inch lower  They hadn't done any ctd's and didn't believe me that the rear weighed 2970 lbs:mad: They offered to rearch them for me but that would mean another $200 for removal and $ 200 for installation. And i could not take it down there (90 miles) and leave it for 4 days as it is my daily driver. So they sent me 2 in blocks and new u bolts to get me my 1 inch lift. I didnot want lift blocks but didn't have much choice as they would not remake them for me. That being said the ride is much improved over stock and i go all over the desert including climbing hills in 2 wd due to all the articulation of the new springs.

I told them 500 lb trailer tounge weight and i recommend you don't tell them anymore than that. 1600 lbs of sand bags lowers the back about 1 1/2 inches so all is well. They are 2-stage to handle the 28 ft trailer as well as provide a smooth ride when empty.

you might try Deever spring. They are supposed to be a little more modern of a company and might be able to beat the $ 700 i paid two years ago.

Best regards

DD
