Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
OK, so when I got my '05 I had it reflashed with the TSB for the 04. 5-early 05's that fixes white smoke issues, MPG, etc. Well, I just took my truck in and the dealer agreed that it was idling like crap. He said the cylinder balance test showed #3, #5 at 70-75% or so with the rest near 100%, but Cummins doesn't acknowledge that test as being accurate for diagnosing injector issues. So, he was about to pull the injectors to inspect them, but he remembered a new flash that came out about 6 weeks ago. He said Cummins won't say what it's supposed to fix or why they released it to the system, but perhaps it should cure my rough idle and white smoke issue. He reflashed it before asking me, so I hope it doesn't change things for the worse! Anyways, he said it's idling a lot smoother now and felt better on the test drive.
So, anyone know anything more about a reflash that came out sometime around December? I'm hoping that maybe it included updated transmission logic that was required for EB approval, but who knows at this point... why would they realease a new version without explaining what it's for? When I pick up the truck I'll try to get related TSB #'s or more documented info about this.
