Looking into adding a scope and bi pod to the M1. Does anyone have experience with Sadlak M1 accessories?

SHobbs,
The original M-14 had a bipod accessory that clamped to the gas cylinder. If You use that method, it will not alter the firearm, but they do scratch the finish.
I'm not sure if they are available to the civilian market.

IMHO, If You are bent on modifying this rifle? You might as well remove the wood stock and store it! Save Your money and buy a Sage International Chassis platform for this rifle. It will be the biggest source of improvement and options You could make for the M1-A/M-14 system.
This wont make You an "operator"! But will enhance the accuracy potential for Your purpose
