Diesel Stop babies

it finally gave up half the ghost

With all the sick leave abuse/absenteeism here @ our school, the board

has deemed it necessary to review some exixting policies and make necessary changes, taking effect immediately:

Sickness: No excuse... ... ... ... ... . will no longer accept doctor's statement as they believe that if we can get to the doctor we can get to work.

Death: (other than your own) no excuse. There is nothing we can do for them. They are sure that a person with a lessor position can attend to the arrangements.

Leave of Absence: No longer allowed. Thoughts that we may need an operation are discouraged as having any parts of our body removed will void our contract. We were hired with all our parts and in doing so would make us less than they barganed for.

Death: (Our own) Will be accepted as an excuse, however they require a two week notice in which we are required to train a replacement.

I had a boss that was adiment that any absence was a sign of an unreliable employee. The company gave us sick time and seperate vacation time, if you used your sick time for any reason you were put under a microscope. If a guy used more than one day ever he was black listed..... So under fear of losing jobs people would come to work no matter what, no matter how sick they were, before you knew it half the work force was absolutely worthless because they were so sick and passing on their germs to everyone else. It's just a stupid thought to make things like that, sick time abuse can be curbed without such drastic measures.

Where I'm working at now, our crew had a Superintendent,(he had to retire for health reasons). He really got off on making a person miserable, literally. If you happen to get on his bad side he would ride you until someone else pi$$ed him off an only then would he let up on you. Our Foreman was one of the nicest men you would ever meet. He an the Super would clash all the time on different issue's. When my Dad past away 10 years ago, the Foreman called on the radio to let me know I was needed at home. The Super was on the job site at the time an called the lead operator on the radio, and ask if I had finshed what I was doing first before I left. LO called back saying yes, let him go, he needs to go now. I took off the following three days for the funeral, an when I came back an received my payroll check I noticed that the Super had instructed to dock me one hour's time for leaving early from the job site. This really upset everyone on my crew how cold hearted the Super really was. Also I noticed that the three days never were charged, like I never took off, The Foreman never said anything about it, but I believe he was the one that altered my time an gave me the three days because of the way the Super done me on the one hour. That Foreman is gone now, an all the men miss him, but we have a Foreman now that is a carbon copy of the old one. Our Super we have now is a pretty good guy too.
