TDR Clutch Vendors out to lunch?

Product Research & Development forum info & guidelines ** PLEASE READ **

Finally got it put in today. The old clutch was junk and the previous install was half @$$. My first impression is that the engagement is so much smoother than any of my previous clutches... including a MU1947 Con OFE. It absolutely lives up to the hype and I'm glad I bought it. My next investment will be the SBC hydraulic upgrade.

I've installed several of the solid flywheel clutches in front of g56 trannies. I think it's the only "correct" fix of the Dual-Mass OEM, POS. Ford tried that in the early '90s, and it was a dismal failure, so what was Dodge thinking?!?!? Anyway, I have had ZERO complaints from customers, except harsh engagements with the DDisk. I have NOT installed any of the Dual disk 3250s in front of the G56s. I have done quite a few of them for the NV5600 and NV4500s, and have one in my own '03. Engagement can be a bit rough, especially with the electronic throttle control in the newer trucks, but it can be reduced through modifying your clutching... ... . and the customer service I've seen from South Bend has been top-of-the-line, so I highly reccomend them to anyone.

SO, this new material does reduce the clutch hop and smooths out the engagement? That is the only complaint I've heard from the DD clutches.

My main complaint is noise so if this newer design it quites down I may look into it. The engagement is a little tricky but found you can learn to drive it.

SB is a class act company for sure, can't recomend them enough.

I tow heavy 100% of the time with my 04. 5 6 speed truck, Being a very articulate kind of guy and a great mechanic seems that I would be the IDEAL product tester for South Bend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oo.

:-laf Maybe they'll hire you to sell their clutches..... :D

I already have a dealership for HyCapacity farm tractor parts, own a repair shop, help with a couple of drag cars, and tractor pull. . I could be a poster boy for them if the camera was not too close or in focus. . :-laf
