I've installed several of the solid flywheel clutches in front of g56 trannies. I think it's the only "correct" fix of the Dual-Mass OEM, POS. Ford tried that in the early '90s, and it was a dismal failure, so what was Dodge thinking?!?!? Anyway, I have had ZERO complaints from customers, except harsh engagements with the DDisk. I have NOT installed any of the Dual disk 3250s in front of the G56s. I have done quite a few of them for the NV5600 and NV4500s, and have one in my own '03. Engagement can be a bit rough, especially with the electronic throttle control in the newer trucks, but it can be reduced through modifying your clutching... ... . and the customer service I've seen from South Bend has been top-of-the-line, so I highly reccomend them to anyone.
SO, this new material does reduce the clutch hop and smooths out the engagement? That is the only complaint I've heard from the DD clutches.
