new seat motors

I have around 253k miles on my truck and I'm always trying to keep it from falling into disrepair. That said, my up/down seat motors were not working and didn't want to spend the $1300 on new seat actuators from the dealer. So I did some research and found motors on www.2men1garage.net. For around $350, I received 4 motors (2 for each seat). The removal and install a little intimidating, but after the first motor, it was pretty straight forward. I'm super stoked with how it turned out. I highly recommend going this route if you are in the same predicament.

Thanks for the info, every time I reach in my truck from the driver side, I hit the damn back raise position and has taken it out. So I need to trouble shoot it, this will give me motivation now, Thanks!

For the extreme labor it's going to take to pound out roll pins during gear/motor replacement you can get a new fleabay dealer part for $440. 02-08 Dodge Ram 1500 & 02-10 Ram 2500 3500 Left Side Power Seat Adjuster MOPAR Genuine Mopar Part # 05080615AB

For just one motor or stripped gearset it works out, but 2 or more it's cheaper with time just to buy the assembly. Why Dealers don't offer the public near fleabay prices I don't understand...

While you are at it think about a new seat cushion. MOPAR PART # 5093781AA Cost about $100.
