New shift knob option - .44 Magnum Billet

I found a guy in MN that will make these for me. What do you guys think?

They're threaded to fit the 5 and 6 speeds (10mm x 1. 5tpi) and the transfer case shifters.

In a cold truck, the knob is definately cold to the touch. It warms up about as fast as the interior though. I've been using one for about a month now, and I'm used to it. I like the feel of it. I rest my hand on the flat top and it's comfortable. It's definately different though.

After thinking about it a while, I decided to drop the price 10% and reduced the shipping a little as well.



Anyone that ordered one already will get a little refund check with their knob.

I paid about 10 bucks more for a set of machined aluminum knobs for both my tcase and shifter, and they have the correct laser etched patterns on them.

Are the 44 mag casings glued in? It would be cool to be able to store 6 live rounds for backup ammo.

They are glued in. I could have one made in the next batch without the casings if you want. When I sell a few more, I'll place another order with my supplier. Send me an email at innertruck@fuse.net and I'll get some more information from you if you're interested. I'll need to know exactly how deep to make the chambers. I don't have any ammo handy right now.

How deep? How about all the way through, letting the casing rest on the end of the cylinder? Or does that interfere with the shift lever mounting?

I'm not sure I'd carry my spare ammo like that, though. I'd probably keep the "extra" 44 rounds in their factory box wherever I stored the revolver. I don't think I'd advertise live ammo (at least here in CA).

I thought all the way through, but i think it would remove to much around the threaded mounting hole, and weaken it some.



I see your point but not living in the Republic of Kalifornia carrying visible ammo is not a problem, besides to everybody else it's just a shifter ball.



My truck is were i store my revolver, doesn't do much good in the house, in the safe, with a trigger gaurd, unloaded
