Hey guys, Im looking to put a new set of 4 shocks and a new steering stablilizer on my rig, Looking at Bilstein's 4600.. what is your opinion?

Those are excellent shocks for a stock height truck. Everyone who runs them, and even their wives, tend to notice a definite and immediate improvement in both ride quality and handling if their truck. If your truck is lifted, then you need to consider the Bilsteiun 5100 or Thuren Overland shocks.

i have also been looking at the 5100 series, My truck is fire engine red and i dont know how blue and yellow shocks will look on her?

The 5100's are a better match for the diesel trucks. Silver too so they don't clash with the paint. ;)

Though I am loathe to admit it, I actually run the 5100 on my white truck for that very reason!!

That being said, it is still my understanding that the 4600 are valved for our stock height/weight trucks and from ALL I have read, the people who run them on their diesel tricks, love them…they say that they ride a little softer then the 5100, though I have ZERO complaints about how my 5100 ride and handle.

well after reading different forums and Cerberusiam's post, i ordered a set of 4 5100 and a bilstein steering shock too. I will report back after the install. thanks for the input guys!

You can't go wrong with either shock. I like the 5100's for there firmness and handling just a bit better than the others.
