I was looking at the front suspension of my '05 3500 Dually and it seems that I will have to remove the inside fender liner to get to the mounting bolts of the front shocks. Will this be necessary or is there some trick to mount the new shocks?

Thanks in advance,

no, you can do it with an extension to remove the shock towers. Lift the truck up to free-wheel so the compression is off the shock to assist in removal and install.

Thanks for the info. The thought of removing the liner was a disturbing thought. Hopefully the new shocks (Bilsteins) will improve the ride.

I'm sure that I will like them. It's my wife that complains about the ride when we aren't pulling the 34' 5er. If she wasn't complaining about this it would be something else:)
Where is St. Paul, TX? I was born and raised in San Antonio but that was over 40 years ago. Old fart, I guess.

Actually I go by Stan... my middle name which isn't much better.
