Hey folks, we're getting a ton of email and PM's asking for price, while I don't mind answering every email, this weekend is shaping up to be very busy indeed, we have several customers coming in from out of town, as well as the pulls at the county fair, so I may not be able to hit the computer again until Sunday or Monday... . full details on pricing and ordering are in the Classifieds section of the TDR, under "Vendor Promotions". I think yall need to answer your phone!!! I have been trying to get in touch w/ you guys since sunday w/ no luck!! and I have called every day since. And when I leave a message no one calls me back I know one of your voice mails says yall are moving, but you just come out w/ a new product and you aren't even moving it out!!???? I think that is stupid!!! Man I would be selling them by the dozens if I were you!! Oh well, I will be giving BD a call in the morning. I will gladly pay the extra money if they will answer the phone!

Definately uncalled for:rolleyes:, as you don't know that Tom and Will BOTH have other jobs besides BMD so that they can have BMD. I tried calling from Sunday-thru-Tuesday, and couldn't get an answer, but got ahold of Tom on www.KYDTR.com as he checks that site several times a day from his other job.



The best way to contact BMD is through email because the shop hours vary from week to week to coincide with the guys other job.
 
if Tom has his head under a hood he will not "hear" his TDD devise... don't think it works with an answering machine. . so that depends on Will being in the shop. .



cut him some slack. . he is a very good guy !!!
 
CumminFast,(and anyone else that has tried to call, but didn't get through) we apologize, it's been a crazy week. Are you sure you have the right number?I would guess you might not, because we don't have a message on there that we are moving or anything like that. We have had problems with the shop phone failing to forward to our cell phones, so now we're just listing the cellular number as our primary number. It's 859-298-0072. And of course, I check my email and these forums several times a day !

Yes, as Mark says, Will and I have other jobs, on a swing shift, which gives us several days off each week, and every other weekend.

The benefits of working maintenance engineering at 3M are a bit much to walk away from, otherwise I might be at BMD full-time. :D But that's my goal, to take BMD full-time.

I'd like to ask our friends and customers, and potential customers for their patience during our growing pains. Thanks !

A bit "uncalled for"??? Whatever man. Obviously you dont own a business. Answering the phone = money = profit = bigger business = H2 for the wife. I have said nothing but the truth, and my BAD experience. Don't f%^*ing tell me what is "uncalled for!!

Well I appreciate you answering me on the internet, but you never have returned my call from the message I left. I got your numbers right off your internet site and had the print out right in front of me everytime I called. This is just not how I run my business.



I ordered my BD shifter today and it will be here Tuesday. They answer the phone obviously!!!!

Yes, I believe that publicly attacking someone, especially someone who goes out of his way to help members of this site, is uncalled for. I think the mature thing to do would be to send him a PM with your concerns, keep trying to call him or just forget about it and go somewhere else to buy your parts.



Well actually my dad owns his own transmission shop, has been self employed for over 30 years. I grew up with the business and worked there for about 10 years before I moved on so I know how it works thank you. Being on the business side I also know that sometimes situations arise that affect the business and no matter what you do, you can NEVER make EVERYONE happy. If I had a dollar for angry phone call from a guy like you I wouldn't be working right now. :D



BTW, I don't know Tom (Briar Hopper) from Adam, I would say the same about anyone else.

Back to the subject, hopefully I'll have the little lady talked into getting me one of these units for my birthday next month. :D Can't wait :cool:
 
Publicly stating the facts isn't uncalled for... but masking profanity is. In fact its not just a bit uncalled for, its specifically uncalled for. It can make some folks angry. And its not my personal opinion, its the TDR's opinion.

I tell you what.

If I was in the market for a 5-speed short shifter (I'm not, check my sig to see why :p ) I would give Tom my Buisness way before I'd deal with BD. Why? Do I not like BD? Not really, but I like Tom and Will. I know how hard they're working on BMD, that and I like to support small buisness vs. Big Buisness.

Have I ever called Tom or Will? No, whenever I need to talk to them, I drop them an e-mail.

I've known Tom for over three years now. Not sure, but I think I've never met a nicer guy.

CumminFast, I got nothing against you stating the facts, but the attack was, in my mind, uncalled for. I see alot of that stuff on the Web lately. Between the calls and the post with the *****ing... . did you try and contact Tom another way? Here on this board? E-Mail? PM? Carrier Pigeon? Smoke Signals? I'm sorry if I've ticked you off, but it's just sad what I've seen. Maybe it's just the Internet or maybe it's the world today, but it's getting tough to find polite folks out there.

If you went to BD instead of BMD, its YOUR loss, not THEIRS. Nothing against BD, but Tom and Will stand out from most of the vendors in their customer service. Granted they dont have an operator by the phone 24-7, but they try harder than anyone out there to help their customers.

Well if you don't answer the phone you don't get my business. Rod answers the phone. Jeff Garmon answers the phone. They get my business. Thats all I'm trying to say.
