New Smarty Updates!!

Smarty Oct 16 updates

Just wanted to bump this thread back to the top so it won't be overlooked. My Smarty is still down with the blank screen and will not recognize other Smarty files that I try to send to it.

sid325 is your Smarty still dead like mine? I just sent an email to the MADS tech assistance about the problem since I hadn't yet heard anything back from the email I sent Bob. I'll post an update if any news breaks.

I see the new downloads are on the Mads site... so what is the difference in this programming versus the ones dated 10-15-07?

I suppose Monday I'll give Bob a call. But can anyone else confirm that these new Nov 9th updates are in fact "correct". The version numbers now match up. But The "wild" TQ management drives like Mild. . Software 9 feels like 7.

I talked to Bob on the phone Friday with pretty much the same complaint you have about what feels like reduced power. Marco made a some kind of adjustment to the timing on these last updates and apparently that is where the reduced feel in power is coming from. I have realized that mine smokes a lot less off idle than it did with the previous software versions taht I have run. Also, according to Bob, the infamous 4. 4 for the general public will be posted and available for our updates in 2 weeks.

I't be nice to get my top end power back, feels like a dog on the high end. Tho, when I get my replaced TST harness, that box should help a little as well.

Do you have massive injector rattle with the latest programs as well?

Thanks Bob, Marco emailed me the fix. I appreciate both your and Marco's effort to keep the Smarty buyers happy.

I know this topic has been discussed several times, but can we expect any improvements with shifting on the auto’s. On my 05, any program greater than mild TQ and the transmission just has a mind of it’s own. I know the throttle position senor has a lot to do with it and hence a software solution may fix it. Even with my Suncoast transmission I still experience the rapid shifts. If only each gear could be held longer? I swear my transmission shifts from 1st to 3rd, skipping 2nd and into 4th in a blink of an eye.

dont know if the smarty will fix your issue,but i know that the dtt shift enhanser will,i run mine on tow and it stretches it out nicely
