New springs, not what I expected.

How did you go about doing that? My springs did the same thing yours did, i ended up grinding the hanger to get some clearence

A torch and a hammer in my case, I just bent the material back instead of removing it. Shorter springs would have taken care of the clearance issue. I'll add that to my conversation when I give Alcan a call.
