I got my 2. 5" Softride springs on yesterday. Took about 2 hours didn't need to lengthen brake lines, the stock length RS9000s worked fine. I'm running 33-12. 50x16. 5 on 16. 5x9. 75" wheels. No rubbing even when turning. The ride is much improved over the stock springs and add a-leafs. I'm going to see how they are after they settle in a little and decide what to go with on the rear.

Here is a pic. Mudcats W250

Mudcat, looks good. Looks like after they settle, however long that may take, you should be sitting level. How many inches do you have between the front axle bumpstops and the axle? How much with stock? Did it change much?

Talking to the Skyjacker rep, he stated the spring rate was 500lbs per spring. Can this be correct? I thought the stock 3ply spring was 1750lbs and the 6ply was 1900lbs per spring?

I don't know what the spring rate is. I went with the Skyjacker on the advice and recomendations of others. All I know is that the ride is much improved and I got a little lift to boot. I have about 4" between the bump stops and springs now after about 10 days for them to settle.

I have the stock set up in the rear the front is very slightly higher than the rear or very close to level. I haven't decided what to do in the rear yet. I am considering air bags or the 6" Skyjacker Softride springs in the rear and getting rid of the factory 6" block.

Your set-up sounds pretty much like mine. My truck already had springs in the front when I bought it. It sits just about level (front slightly higher) unloaded. My question is, what do your springs look like. Are the leaves tapered or just cut off square? The front of my truck seems to ride ok, but I don't know what brand the springs are. I think I'm going to put in the 6" soft-rides in the rear to get rid of the blocks and HOPEFULLY soften up the ride. Could you post a pic of your front springs so I can see if they look like mine? This may help me decide if I need to do all of the springs eventually.

Travis. .

I can do that this weekend hopefully. I will be putting the 3" brakes on the rear if I get a little free time. I will snap a few pics then. I don't have any batteries for the dig camera and they are dead of course.
