Well I had the new 304 stainless exhaust installed. The only muffler they had in stock in 3" was 3" inlet and outlet, but had a 2-1/4" inside tube. I figured that was too much restriction so I had them put it together with just the muffler housing and nothing inside.

Thought I'd give it a try. Turns out it's too loud for me - not bad on the open road, but in town it's too much.

So now they're getting a turbo muffler with 3" all the way through to put on.

Now a question for you all... who makes a good 3" free-flowing muffler in 304 stainless? I can probably get one from them installed for less than buying one, but I'm wondering what's out there.

Thanks,

Blake

Blakers You might try BORLA for a stainless muffler. I'm not up on what they have but they're big into SUV exhaust systems. Jim

I am not positive on this, but I would think that a Borla muffler is chambered... Not sure if Dynomax or Walker (same thing) offers anything in stainless.

Banks offers a SS straight flow but might want a fortune for one. The prices on all their SS exhaust systems have come way down in the last few weeks though. Won't hurt to check.
