still looking for an answer to this question:):) I know the aftermarket injector programs have less timing than the stock injector programs but do the aftermarket injector programs have more or less timing than the factory program from dodge?

Chris, I would say that the aftermarket injector program has more timing than the cummins stock software. But still much less than the full smarty program.

Marco offer's so many choice's for so many different combination's

Thanks

Yes there will be 9 levels and more

Will the Smarty handle more than 9 levels or will there be a Smarty Senior?

And am I correct from the reading I have done, if you down load any new software to the Smarty you can not go back to the original software that it came with?

You can go back to any of the previous softwares provided that you have the softwares downloaded and stored on your computer or some other media. I have been keeping a running database of the softwares that I have personally used or thought that I may like to use in the future. Unless you are downloading and storing them for your own use than you cannot go back and get them unless you know the file number and maybe you could get Bob or someone like myself that has been keeping various files to give them to you. I have about 20+ versions of the older softwares. If you know the specific file numbers I will check to see if I have it.

Just for clarification, you are correct in that you need to keep the old files (or get them from bob)..... that being said, if there was a chrysler reflash on your truck or on a newer version of the smarty software (and you loaded it)... you cannot go backward to a previous smarty software..... for the same reason that chrysler cant put an old reflash on your truck... .

If there were never any chrysler reflashes released (hypothetical)... you could switch back and forth until your heart was content.

What size injectors are needed before aftermarket injector download is needed. I'm running flux 1's. Are these large enough to need reduced timing or still close enough to stock it isn't needed. Want the most timing I can handle safely. Can Bob or Marco please chime in on this. I have asked it several times with no educated answers recieved, just guesses and speculations from people who aren't running flux 1's.

Thanks

How about an answer Bob or Marco

Most of hte rattle is gone from the previous beta!. Making smoke off idle is a lot less disturbing when it comes to injector rattle. Smooth and smokey! :)

Today I should fine some straight dry/low salt roads on the highway to have a little fun and see what level 9 and a little added tst can do.

I tried the new tune for stock tq managment, stock inject, aftermarket turbo today. For some reason on the last few Smarty tunes my truck will not lock-up the Torque converter in 3rd gear. Also within an hour of installing a Smarty tune I get the good ol 0036 code. I am used to that code with TST, but until the "new beta" Smarty had never thrown that code.

Oh yeah, with Smarty the truck isn't going into high idle automatically, though I will double check this tommorrow morning.

I just installed the new software from mads. What a differance. I used the 211b version even though I have a stock turbo and injectors. There is much less smoke and now I can maintain 35lbs. of boost on level 3. driveability is great. Marco and Bob have done a terrific job on r+d. Oo.

Way to go Marco

I towed 12,000lbs today with the newest SW on the site and it worked great. I had no egt issues and very little smoke. I may be able to get rid of my leaf blower tip now. :D

I also don't think the rattle is as bad above 2,500RPM as the Beta I tried. I did load the aftermarket turbo SW so I am a little concerned as to how much the stock charger can take, but I kept it to 40PSI.

I think this SW is going to be awesome for towing. I never saw over 1,000deg all day today. Oo.

Marco did such a good job on this software that I may be able to put off my twin turbo upgrade for a while. EGTS are finally controllable without spending thousands for twins. I haven't towed yet, but based on what I am seeing on the pryo I suspect EGTs will stay in check. I haven't tested much but I think EGT's may be better than, or close to stock on my 07. The Smarty is an awesome product!

I have always seen cooler temps on level 1 towing then stock.

I put the new software on the dyno yesterday at our local chapter's dyno day. I was running the 2. 11B on #9 and I am very impressed... made 482/1083. Oo.

Had to turn it down after that... I don't think the transmission's gonna put up with that for long. :-laf

Awesome job Bob and Marco!!!!

Cool deal, I don't think I will see a dyno for a while, but I can't wait to.

Is your truck stock except for the Smarty.
