I believe all the outstanding bugs with the new theme have now be resolved on our test server and have now been rolled out here to the live server. * If you see any issues please let us know. * We'll work on the advertisements on smaller screens next.

For some buttons ('quick nav' and 'Top' buttons, among others), on mouseover changes the text color to a color almost the same as the button itself. On mouseover, the buttons at the top (welcome, notification, etc.) look a little weird.

Bullet issue with BBcodes has been resolved (haven't heard anyone call them UBB codes since UBB's heydays in the late 90s and early 00s! :) ).

The other issues on on my plate to resolve, though I believe the issue with the welcome area at the top is the way it was designed, to be an offset on hover.

Ever send email using the ancient host1!host2!host3!user address? Did I just electron-date myself? Gee whiz! :)

Did you ever Usenet newsgroups? :) My first truck event where I brought along website (and email list) flyers to hand out, 95% of the time I received blank stares along with "Inter what"? remarks!

Thanks for your work to make the site tolerable for those of us who primarily use desktops. While it is much better, it is still a step backward, like most of the updates have been. The cartoon balloon buttons and smiley face crap (like on the my profile button) seem better suited for a site for children than for a site for adults to discuss trucks. I can't find the post where someone linked to an adventure forum as an example, but there are many other examples of neat, clean, professional looking forums out there.

And while I'm venting, is there something you can do about that useless "Similar Threads" section which causes people to accidentally dredge up ancient threads? At the time of posting there are 5 "Similar Threads" threads listed at the bottom of this page, 4 of which have no relation to the topic. Only the first one is less than a year old with the rest being 6 or more years old. The oldest one is from 13 years ago! Doesn't that needlessly tax the servers making them dig through years and years of posts only to produce results of questionable value? Just another useless bell and whistle cluttering up the site.

That adventure forum uses Xenforo forum software, not VBuletin. While we could migrate to Xenforo, it would mean abandoning and rewriting 16 years of custom VBulletin code needed to support some of the TDR magazine features. At some point we might migrate to another platform, but in the meantime we're doing the best we can within the VBulletin framework to keep it up to date, and support the trends of the devices users are using to view the site.

Sadly, that means despite my own personal efforts and others at TDR, there's no way to have 100% of people happy 100% of the time with any site related change. I wish there was.... I am, however, working on incremental improvements to this theme over time.

I did notice a minor issue yesterday. When a previous post is quoted in a new post, the caps seem to disappear in the body of the quoted post. Nothing critical, I admit, but worthy of inclusion on the "when I get around to it" bug list.
