are you sure they are related. they are on opposite sides of the engine. oil off the bellhouseing might be rear main. as for the coolant check the lines that run parellel to the engine. are they seperate or mixed. mixed is usually head gasket. post a lot more details. amount, location on bell housing, anything else you can think of.

Yes I'm aware of the location difference and it doesn't seem to be coming from the pan gasket. Very small speck or two of coolant in a half dollar sized oil spot. I'm almost sure it's rear seal and I should check the heater core lines as said about the coolant. It seems to be very dark oil and the dipstick still has golden oil on it from the fresh oil. Possible it's gear oil from the nv4500?thatd still leave the coolant mystery though

Might be the soft/freeze plug at the rear of the block starting to seep.

Nick

Maybe you bumped the plug when you reinstalled the CAM. That is a caution that has been mentioned many times when doing this procedure. This one is, as you know behind/inside the bell housing.

Sorry to hear about your problem. To bad that the 12 valve owners don't fix the DOWEL PIN.
