Got some new shoes for the old girl. I went with Pro Comp 69 series vintage matt black rims 16X8 and Goodyear Wrangle Duratrac LT285/75 R16P E1 BSW. I wanted to try the black finish to see if it holds up better than the polish aluminum rims. Trucks been running great, all she needs is a fresh coat of paint and she'll be good for another 20 plus years.

I love the original chrome wheels on my 97. They are starting to show their age a little. I hope to find an NOS set one day for back up. Doesn't seem like anyone sells a nice chrome wheel anymore..............
I agree. Same with my 99, nice rims. I haven't seen a newer type rim I actually like but being in Az. mine still look new or better. Yes, they are chrome.

I like the rims that came with the truck, but they were 16.5x8.25. Try finding new tires in 16.5 size!!!!!!

Nice!

Was your truck made on the Canadian assembly line. The original owner of our '96 lived in Washington and purchased it across the border.
I'm not sure. I'm the third owner, my dad was the second owner. Is their a way to check?

Am I mixing up fourms or was this also posted over on ClassicBroncos? Looks good !
Yes it was, I have a 74 Bronco and post on classicbroncos. I'm Savage on the bronco site.

These were the rims that came with the truck ,when my Dad bought it. I don't think they are stock, but I liked the designed and look of them, but through the years they got pitted and very dull, plus their 16.5.

Seabee, I found a set of straightened and rechromed OEM 2014 - 2017 wheels on a 2500 at the U-pull it wrecking yard last month. I had to buy them with the awful tires, so the set cost me $100. I paid $20 to get the tires removed and recycled. It was only after I got the tires dismounted that I saw the rechroming sticker inside the wheel. When I saw them in the yard, my only thought was that they looked good. So don't give up. They are out there.

Suggestion for new wheels. Get about 4 cans of Eastwood, or other high quality vendor, 2K clear (poxy paint spray can) pre-cleano 1st and then follow 2K instructions. Not only protects wheels from chipping and pitting from brake dust, but makes cleaning much easier.
