Well as I have said in another post i just ordered an '06 2500 megacab laramie. Now the question is what to do about tires since i dont like the michelins

I have a set of bfg TA's on my 05 now, I can move them over or what i was thinking was I could put on a set of Toyo country A/T's

Question is what size with fit my stock wheels? Anyone done this with success?

I have the Toyo 285's on my 05, I'm sure I could go to a larger size without a clearance problem.

FWIW I'm very happy with the 285's.

More pics in my gallery.....

Pretty truck!

Interesting that you hav E's i cant find them listed on the toyo website, the LT285/70/17's dont say e rated

wonder if their website is messed up?

new tires

how about these?:

toyo mt

295 70 17

load range E

3970lbs @ 80 psi

product code 360360

they measure 33x11. 5x17

CMullen (what is your first name?). Did you hit the lottery? First a new truck then tires for it :)

Go up 10N to 23 (morgantown), make a left. Make a RT on Churchtown road, first farm on left.

they sell Coopers for a great price. (forget the name of place, something like martin tire)

I got a set of Cooper M/S (not load range E since I am empty all winter) for $96. 00 each.

I bet you could sell those Michelins quick, most guys love them because they last like 50K miles.

Will, my first name is Chris

No lottery, just a passion for what i want.

i have two sets of michelins in the barn. (I think). would sell both, I also have a roadmate 700 gps to sell. Just too lazy

Don't like the Michelins? Why? Friends of mine with 03s LOVE theres. Got 90k out of them(two differant trucks)and bought MORE of the same. In fact actually shopped for them! Just curious to what you don't like about them?

Chris, if you still got any in about 2 or 3 years I'll buy them :)

Wonder what these trucks come with stock? I did not get the OWL option tires.

while your buying stuff, out on 283 at the millersville exit is a place with a bunch of caps called Car-mic enterprises. I bought mud flaps (husky pre formed) $50. 00 for all 4.

Lund Trifold tono cover $295. 00.

I bought my exhaust brake from Cummins in Harrisburg for just over $1000. 00.

The stock michelins absolutely suck in snow and any sort of slop.
Boy,you are sure correct on that statement GButia!!We had about 6 inches of wet snow about 2 weeks ago,I had a hell of a time in 4 wheel drive with the stock michelins just getting up the driveway. I got a price on a set of bridgestone dueler AT revos today 265-70-16 installed $745 for all 4. I going to be changing tires next week. coobie Oo.

it will be close for clearance, but it will fit on a stock 8 inch wide rim. i have 305's on mine with the kore chase suspension. i can fit 35's no problem. i am going to get a set. i think it will fit a stock front on the dodge but you should get on down to discount tire or where ever to see and let us know.

I will second that on the michelins. I just replaced mine and I went with

20"MB SUV Shaker Rims and LT275/65R20 GoodYear Wrangler AT/S Tires.

There isn't any clearance problem and the ride is great. The cost was over 2K but I am happy with the looks and the performance.

SNOW! You all drive in SNOW! WOW. All kidding aside one of my friends with his 03 4x4 srw LOVED his Michelins and had a load of horses in New York maybe in white out conditions. He's never comminted about a issue with them.

DPKetchum,

absolutley stink in the snow (stock michelins) thats why i went with the bfg's may keep them and have the dealer swap them over when the new truck gets here. Toyo at's look good also

16 inch won't fit on a 2004...

Are those available in 17 inch?

If you want something that works awsome in snow, mud, or on ice, and doesn't have a terrible howl to them as you go down the road. Then go to your nearest Cooper tire dealer, and check out the new sst series truck tire. These tires are amazing.
