2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission New Tires Question

I was just wondering with a stock height 98. 5 2500 CTD if I could fit 285 75 16 with like 4 3/4 backspacing under my truck without any problems? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

The other question of course is which brand, I potentially probably go the expensive safe route and go with Michelin LTX A/T but I do alot of towing along with alot of highway miles traveling alot on the weekends.

Kumho Road Venture AT KL-78 (seem very cheap)



both look appealing as well. Any suggestions, and after reading I suppose the 285/75/16 will fit without any problems.

At the place I used to work we had an 01 QC 4x4 with 285s on the factory alloys. They seemed to fit okay and I don't recall them ever rubbing or anything.

Yokohamma 285 75 16 fits great on my 02 with no problems with stock rims.

I love the ltx for the winter conditions such as ice. I now run revo's and would highly reccommend as the are awesome. less siping on the revo's but much better overall tire in my humble oppinion. cya

I run 285/70 16 on stock rims and otherwise stock truck, no problems with rub or anything. Seem to fill up the huge empty space from stock tires very well

I have had as large as 305's on stock rims on my 98 with now problems.

They will be aftermarket rims, but still 16's with 4 3/4 backspacing I believe, I think I should still be safe with 285/75/16 dont you think?

They should fit fine. I had 305/70/16 on stock 99 chrome wheels and still have the same size on my Eagles, see sig.

Hey i noticed in your picture you got Ventvisors for your back half doors, I have the ext version of the 98. 5 with no doors but looking to put those ventvisors on there, any idea where I could find them. Alot of local stores told me they didn't make them??
