I bought a 92 250 with a auto thats been wreaked (totaled) from what i can tell has been well taken care of cummins filters& clean oil. it has 149000 miles. It also has a small tdr badge under the hood. my questions are how do i tell if the pump has been modified. can i buy a gas 250 and swap everything over. are the frames the same? will the motor mount brakets bolt up? intercooler/radiator? thanks for any input. the first gen is really growing on me.

yeah it bent the frame the driver wheel is pushed back & the front of frame is pushed to the driver side. the motor is really close to the firewall.

Are the hubcaps original? I have a 69 chevy 3/4 ton custom camper that i was going to put the motor/trans in but the early 90s gas dodges are going for cheap. so does anybody know if the frames are the same between gas and diesel?

The hubcaps are original. The tamper cap is still on the smoke screw, but I can't see the fuel screw. Most likely nobody has been playing with the pump.

I'm not sure if the frames are the same, but I did see it on 1st gen.org. There is a thread going about what fits what.

No, the frames are not the same between gassers and diesel. The diesel frame is a heavier deeper channel.

That said you can use the gasser frames but don't expect to beat it around and load it as heavy as the original.
