Thanks, TDR Staff

I’m jumping in with both feet!

2500 vs 3500

Well after many years of wanting this truck I finally did it. I bought a new 2002 QCab S. B H. O. . I love the power.

Is there any advice or thing that would be good to know about this truck?

Thanks

Welcome :)

Best advice I can give..... unless you have extreme self control, or make mountains of money that you can afford to spend on your truck, LEAVE THE TDR NOW!!!!!!!! And Never, Ever attend any BOMBing sessions or other diesel related events. And under no circumstances whatsoever, ever ride in anyone elses BOMBed truck.

If you do any of these things, you'l quickly understand what I mean about self control and money... ... :D:{

read--read--read--- your owners manual, memorize it if possible, follow all the recommended procedures. i have known allot of CTD owners and the questions they ask had the answer in the manual, which proved one thing--they did'nt do any reading of the most important piece of information available to them. and also the TDR, one can't go wrong. if this does'nt work, ask on the forum. good luck with your ride.

just my penny's worth.

Get the Service Manual . You can get it by looking in your owner's manual for about 100 bucks. Another good 100 bucks spent is getting as many back issues as you can afford. just get a few for now and if you agree that they are worth it , then get some more.

Put your BASIC questions on THIS forum, but as a courtesy for others, please search the forums first. Then ask the question based on what is unclear to you after the search. Remember that the more new posts placed on the forums , the sooner your post gets knocked off the front page and the fewer replies it gets.

I have seen some complaints that unnecessary posts have taken ''more interesting posts'' off the front page;that is why I mentioned this.

Above all have fun! these guys are a great bunch to hang out with, andthey love to help everyone out:cool: :cool:

Way to go!

I agree strongly with the last two postings.

Read the owners manual at least once or twice maybe three times to know all the important stuff. I think I've read mine at least three times:D

And if your'e going to do any kind of maintenance or repairs on your own, a Factory Service Manual is a must! money well spent.

It's good to have these for reference purposes.
