Hello,
I just picked up a 02 Avalanche for the wife and not a week after having it set the SES light. The code that came up was P0430 Cat Conv Performance. A new Y-pipe from the dealer is 455 dollars
plus tax and core, that is a little much for right now after just putting a down payment on the vehicle.
Since the vehicle has just over 100K miles I was thinking of getting rid of the cats, but I was just wondering if anyone had seen or knows anything about fooling the post conv O2 sensors?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Nate
