HI I have traded up from a 2000 to a 03,2500,QC,SB,4X4,Goose-A-Matic

(had to please mama). It has 15000 miles on it Oo. Maybe I can get this one payed for before 150K miles. So far we really like it. it was time for a 4 door and the wife likes the quiet ride. Just thought I would say hi. I will need to know stuff about the 3rd gen trucks to. I kept my gauges off the old truck EGT,Boost, Fuel Pressure, but need to get a pod some where. If you go A piller do you loose the handle?

Welcome to the 3rd gens!! Yes and No, if you only want one gauge on the pillar than you can get the SRT-10 pillar and thats has the handel. If you want two or more than you lose the handel. But there are other good locations to mount the gages. Autometer has one that mounts in the center counsel below the heater controls if you don't have electronic 4wd shifter and heated seats. There also is one that mounts below the overhead consol and that holds 3, i believe that geno's sells them (windshield pod) i think thats what it is called. corey

With the pillar you will loose the handle. If you don't have heated seats or electric 4x4 you'll have a cubby below the heater controls the gauges can mount in. Makes a slick install but a ways out of your way to look at. I put most of mine there because I didn't like the in your face feel of the gauges on the pillar with the 3rd gen sloped back windshield. Congradulations on the new ride

Edit: Guess I'm a little slow..... :D

I have a two gauge pod that sits on the steering dash. Its hold the Fuel Pressure and Boost gauge. The only thing I do not like about it is that it blocks the "wait to start" light. But by now you usually know how long that light stays on without even looking.

I also just traded to the 03 from an 02. What a difference! I actually like this truck where as my 02 was more like an evil necessity because I drag a 5th wheel. Enjoy!

I put a triple A-Pillar in and if I were to do it again I would do the same:D:D You get used to not having the handle there. . it's just as easy to grab the steering wheel if you need a little extra help.

I checked into the cubby hole mount, I like it there and so does the wife. I will get one from genos.

We went for a 850 mile round trip Friday. Had a ton in the back one way. I could not belive the over head mileage ( I know there not right) I hand figured it and one 18. 4. I got to refuel again today and 18. 5. I am tickeled about the mileage. Sure better than the last one. I will get to pull a trailer next week, will see how she handles that. Tomarrow I am installing my B&W flip over ball.
