new to me truck

So, I suddenly find myself in the market for another truck (truck in sig. totaled 7-29-09)

I'm looking at a 08 4 door long bed 2500 auto I have not seen the book on this truck, but the build sheet I got from a dealer says 9000# gvw. What can I expect as far as combo and pin weight go? thanks i advance for any input.

I have listed the information for the Auto and I listed for both the 4x4 and 4X2 trucks. Since you did not specify if the truck is a 4X4 or 4X2.

Per the Dodge Towing and Maximum Payload Capacities for the 2008 model year book. I am only going to quote the 3/4 ton diesel trucks towing guide. The Maximum Loaded Trailer Weight is; per the book with a 4. 10 and 3. 73 differential and a Automatic Transmission. The Quad Cab SB 4X2 13,350#, LB4X2 13,250#, SB 4X4 12,900#, LB 4x4 12,800#, Mega Cab 4X2 is 12,850 and the 4X4 is 12,450#. The GCWR is the same for both differentials is 20,000#.

Not sure about weight specs, but good luck with the new truck. I have a Megacab and pull a fairly big toy hauler and it handles the weight fine, airbags pumped up to about 25-30lbs keeps the truck more than level. Scotty
