Hello TDR members!

Just wanted to introduce myself to the group. I recently bought my first diesel powered truck. I love my 2003 ram w/ Cummins. A couple of companies I have worked for gave me diesel trucks (powerjokes, duratrash, and Cummins) as my company rig. I loved driving the Cummins rams, so when I finally talked my wife into letting me spend the extra money for a diesel- a Cummins was in my driveway.

I have already racked up around 12,000 miles on the rig and have yet had a bad mile. man I love this truck. Cant wait till the wife lets me customize it to my taste.

It is a 2003 2500 swb 4x4 quad cab atlantic blue w/ 4. 10 gears and a 5speed.

Well welcome aboard! This is my first Cummins/Ram aswell. I just turned 13k and have enjoyed every min. of it! This is a great site and great bunch of guys. I would say the best I have ever interacted with on a BB. Have fun with the costomizing! I just started with mine in the last few weeks, it has been a blast so far.

Welcome to the group. I'm on my second Cummins, and I get excited every time I pull the keys out of my pocket and get ready to fire it up. I haven't felt that way since I had my '57 Chevy in my teens years. Another thing about this board, it's class act. I have to admit, I venture to the Duramax and Ford boards occasionally just to see how their trucks are doing. I will say that the Duramax board is similar to this one... the folks are talking about add-on's and hitches and stuff, and generally helping each other. The Ford board is a real mess talking about drag racing their diesels and in general just complaining, and that's OK if that's what they want. I prefer a little more subdued crowd like this one. I'm proud and glad that I got my second Dodge. It's not perfect, but I will say the difference between my 01 and my 03 seems to show Dodge is at least listening and trying. Best of luck with your truck.

Welcome!

I've driven dodge trucks for years and this is my second diesel, all I can say is that these things keep getting better and NOTHING beats a Cummins! These guys will do anything to help you out, all you have to do is ask. Just be careful because we will lure you in to the black hole that is bombing... . :D :D :D

V,

welcome, get an ezbox on that thing and you will really love it.

enL,

i noitce you got the aeroturbine with a missing silencer ring. my question is can you here turbo whistle out of the tail pipe at idle how about on the highway? at idle is the whistle cover up by the noise of the engine.

Welcome new fellows:D your at the right place to find out anything you want to know about the Dodge/Cummins. I think I found this site in 95 and I still learn some things. Nobody knows it all although there are some on hear that I have to rate very high. Then there are some strange  ones on here. They have been fairly quite lately. You will pick up on them pretty fast. I got my first one in 91-95(one I wrecked and made me:confused: )98(dumped all the oil out lifter cover gasket and put an end to that engine)00,03(got a wild hair in my arse to get the 4dr)and soon to be 04(another wild hair)this time auto. So driving the Dodge?Cummins is a good experience the TDR will put you in another world.

VStahl,

I want to welcome you aboard also. This is a great place to be if one wants to learn about these great trucks and the CTD engine.

I for one have owned three of them, a 91 1/2, a 94, and now a 2003. They have certainly improved every year as I see it. I also drive a School bus with the CTD 5. 9L engine, and it also "sings", especially up the hills!
