Question about PM's

I just tried to post a new topic on the 1st gen forum and it doesn't show up. I tried again, and that one also doesn't show up. What's the deal??

I just looked and there are two posts there from you. This is a problem on your end. What's happening is your machine is loading tdr pages from a cache. I've seen this happen from internet speedup software and also from internet sharing software. In both cases it's attempting to speed up things by loading pages from a cache rather than getting them directly from the server. I'm emailing this to you as well because you probably won't see this thread either.

I have had this same problem I thought some one was deleting my posts but they are there you have to wait some times to see them I have also noticed this with other persons post being listed on the main page but not on the thread when opened. Steve is there a fix? on my end.

Thanks

Craig

Yes there is something - but what I can't tell you because it all depends on what's causing the problem. Are you using internet sharing software like iShare or something like it? Did you install any internet speed up software? In either case you need to look for a setting in that software that allows you to exclude a website from the cache. It will be something along the lines of "always load pages from server" or "always check for new pages".

thanks steve, I was away from the site for a couple of hours and the posts showed up. I dont know what the heck is wrong, to my knowledge, i havent changed anything or added any new software lately. I just noticed this tonight. Im not very computer savy, so hopefully i can figure it out.
