I have been towing 5ers and TT's for almost 9 yrs. I do not like towing TT's so I have only towed approx. 12 in all this time.

While delivering a 5er to Ocala, Fl. , the boss called for me to take a TT from Port in Jacksonville to Pittsburgh, Pa. I was not overyjoyed with this, because I had delivered it to Jacksonville to be shipped to Puerto Rico for a movie set last April. These TT's are 40' + a 5'(45' total) tongue with a 5KW gen set mounted on the tongue, and are made with either 1,2, 3 or 4 dressing-makeup rooms, with restrooms, AC and heat for each seperate room. They weigh 18+ to 21+K lbs. , way too heavy for a TT in my opinion. I use a Reese hitch w/weight dist. bars. this trl. is a 4 room model. Well I make it to Pittsb. alright, at 55 to 60 mph. (890 mi. ) When I get there they want me to take a 2 room model to New Orleans and return a 3 room model back to Pittsb. Once again, I'm not too happy, but $$$ talk! While hooking up to the NEW TT, the guy helping me asks me what that bar is going across the back of my trk. , I tell him its part of the Kelderman Air Ride I had installed. He laughed, and said this new trl. had the Kelderman system installed on it. He tells me that all the new TT's and some of their 40' 5ers have it also. The one I'm bringing back also has it. Now I love my Air Ride, but have never towed a trl. with it. MAN. what a difference!!! It towed as well as any 5er I have ever towed!! Sooo Smoooth, no jerking, or bouncing up and down when going over sharp bumps, and bridge approachments, so does not sway back and forth as much(maybe a little more than a 40' 5er, but not much) I could not believe the difference!! They told me they figured their trls. would last 2 or 3 times longer because of the softer ride, they would not shake to pieces as soon. They have purchased several from Kelderman, and are real happy with them. I hope to try a 5er with it someday. I don't know what this system costs, and I have never owned an RV myself, but if I ever do, I sure would want the Air Ride on it.

I have the 2 stage system on my trk. now, as soon as I can schedule it in, I'm going with the 4 point system!

I'm not affiliated with Kelderman Mfg. in any way, but the experience of towing with the Air Ride on a trl. is UNBELIEVEABLE!!

You know it only makes sense. I love pullin' the class 8 trailers with air ride. It IS much better. Good news TT's finally have it. :)

I grew up just down the road from Ocala in a little town called Belleview! Do they still have the "love-bugs" that cover the entire front of your car?

Do you happen to remember what diesel was selling for down there?

They sure do have the "love bugs" yet.

I didn't even pay any attention to the fuel prices in Fl. , I always fill up in Ga. , it was 1. 19 to 1. 21 in Ga.
