Took about an hour this weekend and finally got my Dipricol FP guage installed, and changed the fuel filter the first time while I was in there. I ran the diesel straight to the guage with a 1/8" nylon tube protected in 1/4" tube. I used a needle valve and a snubber (since I already had it) and the guage is completely silent. Didn't even bother using the lights in the guage since I don't need to see the guage at all times. The install worked out great, no leaks and quite simple to do. This setup costs about $55 including the guage, pod, fittings, and line.

The good news is the pressure is within spec - 15 idle, 12 cruising at 2200 rpm, and 8 WOT :D

I installed my Prodigy brake controller up higher than the Voyager that replaced it since I was tired of leaning way forward to get to the manual lever. With it's new place, I can stay leaned back in the seat and easily reach the lever with my right hand, and plenty of knee clearance too.

Hmmm, now what to do next ?

Clean looking setup. I install FP gauges in the exact same location with no lighting, works just fine.

With a snubber or needle valve cranked down you won't get a jet of fuel even if the line comes completely off, in fact you'd be lucky to even get a slow drip. Not a single leak in five years with diesel in the cab FP gauges on my personal rigs.

I think folks make too much of a deal about bringing fuel into the cab. 40 years of driving rigs with motor oil in the cab oil pressure gauges, don't recall even one leak, and that's with much higher pressure hot oil than a FP gauge ever sees.

actually it's aimed at the middle passenger..... wanna go for a ride :p

And it's only a jet if it leaks, which I seriously doubt it will with only 15 psi. I can't even get the nylon tube out of the compression fitting know that it's crimped.
