Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) New trans trick

My '98 47RE just developed a new trick. Reverse is OK. But put it in any forward gear and it goes into first but immediately shifts into second (in less than about 1/2 second). And never returns to first. And I think it no longer downshifts after a stop. Upshifting, OD and TC control seem OK. Any ideas?

Scheid rebuilt the trans a year or two ago after the input shaft stripped. It has ATS TC and VB.

Try replacing your output shaft speed sensor. They're not expensive and easy to replace. It's on the left side of the tail housing.
