New transmission from Ford and Chevy

Saw in todays paper that Ford and gM are going to team up and design a new 6 speed automatic transmission for front wheel drive applications. Said they are both working on one independent of each other now.



Question - Does this mean that two wrongs make a right? Wonder if they will call it a Cheford?

6 speeds for a FWD. They must be planing on going to smaller engines agin. I bet they must have got a good deal on some 21CC weed eater motors they want to try out.
