Well, after doing lots of research, reading, and phone calling talking to the guys who build these things, I finally decided today to go ahead and make the appointment to have my auto transmission rebuilt so I can hook up that pump wire on my Edge Comp and make this truck a ricer-eating machine!!!

I'll be having the work done by Fred at Desert Diesel in Phoenix, AZ, as he's the closest to me, and who Stephan (sp?) at DTT recommended. He'll be putting in an 89% T/C, the towing VB (for smooth shifting, not cause I tow, and cause that's what Stephan told me would work best for my application), and the Update kit. At the same time, he'll be replacing my Jannetty transmission temp sender port with the entire line w/ built in port from DC <--- (this just mostly for piece of mind).

So, two weeks of waiting till she goes in to have it done, then it's a brand new truck, and all these darn ricers running around campus better watch out. I think my first demo will be a power-brake in front of the dorms... how 'bout the whole length? :D :D I also seem to see DD2's in my future, and a new turbo.

Sorry for babbling so much... . just excited.

Later, Josh.

Good choice all around. You will not believe the difference in your truck. Folks around campus will be seeing a lot of :D :D :D

Enjoy!!

Josh, that transmission is wierd cause it seems the more power you put to it the better it likes it (don't tell Bill I said that... . or James) have fun with it as you will realize how overrated lockup is, Just an opinion.

I had Fred do my transmission six months ago. It still rocks, Fred is the man. Just don't drive his truck. Don't. Bill K told me not to and I did. Costly mistake. I am now built up about the same as Fred. Minus the DD Cam. You might think about doing the injectors while he is doing the trans. It will take a couple of hours more but it is way worth it. Get used to saying FLUID COUPLING. The other transmission guys don't even know what that is:D

I drove Fred's truck in May... ... ..... didn't affect me none?

Hehe :p

Although I am putting in a 93% race TC... . that was planned before I drove his though.

I was just a little more patient than you two. I waited while you guys forged the uncharted waters. Now it is easy to catch up. In Feburary I will have the cam, head, and... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... VP44

was supposed to be thumbs up

Must of zigged when I was wanting to zag! Earlier post was supposed to be thumbs up icon! Guess fingers asleep still when typing(pecking). :)

Jim I heard that! I am just waiting for your billet decision. :D
