I just had a full suncoast transmission built by the tech the sent me to this week. I did the full overhaul on it every thing they sell minus the billit output. I know its overkill for just my mods but i only want to do it once And i plan to really turn it up soon. Heres the run down truck is a 250hp s. o with the mods in my sig. When i picked it up it was a little jumpy to say the least i left my Banks bullet on 40hp setting ( yes i know BANKS but is was free) it does fine till you push it then it acts like it boggs down when i get on it. Put in the 60hp tune and it seemed like it still boggs down right before and after a shift but its much better than before. i only have 160 miles on it so far and it seems a little better as time goes on. This is were i need help does my truck not have the power to push this transmission or do i need to give it more time. This i not what i was looking for , I thought i would have a tire shreading moster what gives. . Sorry for the long post its just alot of money and I am Starting to panic. . Any help would be great at this time... ... Thanx Andrew

What is your boost doing when it is bogging down?

Off hand, I would say the tight converter is not allowing the turbo to spool as quick as the stocker and you are just seeing the reults of lack of fuel in the lower rpm's.

Its worse in stock settings , That sounds right i seem to lose boost at shifts i saw that and thought it was just the bogging down. If i drive it fine its great i just cant bear down on it . i talked with the trans guy before the install told him my plans and he thought it seamed like the middle one would be a good choice. What are my options at this point. It like driving a gimp truck.

MP-8 or a Smarty would probably help. It sounds like you need to make more power in the lower rpm's and either of those 2 should give you what you want.

26, Built Transmissions are designed to increase Performance ,If Your truck has Not Performed with added hp to the wheels you need to look into what is causing lack of.

Thats why im a member i get to tap in to people with the know how. Before i go back to the builder saying its not right , i want to know im not missing anything. Is there a break in or learning cuve or is there some thing wrong the the transmission .

We are running afoul of semantics here, a built transmission will not increase engine performance and that is where he is seeing the changes. They trans increases the amount of power that is transfered to the rear wheels and that has its downside also.

Check his first post, as he adds power the feel gets better. You can totally screw up an engines performance if you put to tight a converter behind it without taking into account how the turbo will spool, not to mention boost fooling.

If he drives it normally it feels fine, but, when he pushes it hard it feels like it is nosing over on the shifts and his boost is dropping. This is probably from a couple sources, over running the stock boost with no fooling and a tight converter with not enough fuel to spool the turbo correctly.

I am not familiar with the Banks Bullet but it is probably a safe tuner that doesn't boost fool, or, fuel hard down low to pull a tight converter.

Not doggin' ya, just trying to get all on the same page. :)

I put a boost elbow on the turbo awhile back but it maks 30 psi then drops back to 25. I have a six-gun i could throw on , do you think it would do any good or do i need a different converter setting. I am towing with it thursday i hope its not worse with trailer on. If a smarty or something eles like injectors would be better im all ears guys.

I hear ya,The Bullet is Pressure with a Small amount of Duration/Timming. 26 did they do any electronic changes, The 03 has the PCM mounted on the Rider side fire wall is thier a resistor/Diode installed ?

I think a Smarty on moderate TQ management would be great. ;)

Your boost should hold at 30 psi and not drop back like that. Possibly need to adjust elbow a bit more or waste gate is opening too soon. Its hard to tell from your description if thats a symptom or cause.
