New transmission

Anyone have a Mojave Green TC?

24 valve p7100 conversion injectors.

Is it just me or do these trucks stop a whole lot quicker with a nice torque converter and transmission in them. I have had my Goerend Brothers transmission in for a month now and besides the obvious driving improvement I have noticed the truck will really stop fast now. I Think the transmission paid for itself this morning cause I almost gave some "local" a Chrome tattoo when he wandered into my lane from the snow covered sidewalk. The lawyers (and victims :-laf ) would have been lining up cause I was not in a a um... friendly neighborhood ;) . Thanks Dave! :D

G.B. Trans

Tractor, You have to love those tranmissions go like hell when you need to accellerate and stops you when deaccellerate. May just seem that way to you because with one of DAVES TRANNIES the truck seems like a whole different vehicle. The converter has something to do with that. Thanks Steve B.

I think Dave has those converters nailed. My truck accelerates faster, and brakes better with my Goerends transmission. Pulls like a freight train, shifts smooth as silk, and will still hold the power. My Suncoast stuff..... helped a little, then died.

You got that right

Can't say about any other transmission as I only got a short ride in a very high HP DTT'd truck. No way to compare that to mine but I am really pleased with my Goerend brother's transmission. You are right about the acceleration, its like I upped the power considerably. Can't wait to add injectors.

For what its worth I had a bent flexplate that caused a sever vibration, Dave went way above and beyond what I expected to work with my installer and make sure I was happy. I now have a Suncoast flexplate. :-laf

This is good to hear after buying my auto i was kind of regreting it i don,t like the way stock trany shifts and stops. I thought about selling my truck and geting a stick but i have seen all these right ups on how much an after market trany changes these trucks. I got a chance to drive a local members truck DTT i think it had 89% TC and the towing VB it was nice it had firmer shifts. It was a 2002 with 3,54s and rear discs mine has 4,10s with rear drums that thing stoped so well mine is like a run away frieght train  I can,t wait to get mine done Oo.

All the trans guys out there are great.

BKenny, if you can, drive all the big name companies. ATS, DTT, Suncoast, and Goerends.

The question I have for you is this: Why do you need billet shafts? Ask the companies, and find out their answers. I was quite impressed with Daves answer, and his reasoning.

Dave has done all his own R&D, builds all his converters in house, and if you've heard of Trans-go shift kits, Dave was in on the design of those kits. Plus, the Goerends trans has a 100,000 mile warranty, and a LIFETIME Warranty on the converter.

Sorry guys, I'll get off my soapbox now... . I'm just an EXTREMELY happy customer, after bad dealings with another company!

Yeah, I agree with you on that all the after market trannys are better than stock. I was thinking ATS or DTT theres a place here that specializes in DTT and i have a friend that lives in Denver so if i went ATS i could visit and get it done. I would like to have a billet input shaft because i have heard that if you run an exhaust brake or TC lock up switch you can snap the stock input shaft. I was told that i don,t need a billet out put since i don,t plan on doing 4wd launches at the the drag stip.
