Be patient and sell your truck privately.

Good advice, according to Kelly, you'll typically loose 20% by trading to a dealer. When I sold my '98 gasser I was offered $9000 in trade, but got $12000 the first day on the CarFaire lot. I probably could have got more but I didn't want to keep the insurance on it so I priced for quick sale.
