I don't know if ya'll are getting ready to order a new '600' or not but I just did and got what I thought was the best deal I found anywhere!! With what I ordered, it came to $41,550 MSRP. If rebates don't change before the end of Jan (when my truck arrives) dealer says I'll only be paying $34,100!!

I got my new Goat at "Steve White Dodge Jeep" in Hickory, NC and they stated on ebay that they deliver for free... Don't know full details on that. Talk to Steve White or Mike Taylor and tell them that John Hostetler sent you

ON ORDER!! 2004. 5 '600' Series, 4X4, 3500 SRW 6 SPD w/3. 73 limited slip, QC, LWB, SLT, Tow hooks, Fog lights, Tow Mirrors, Flat folding floor,Trailer Package, Prem Cloth seats,Keyless Entry, Infinity Sound w/steering wheel controls, Bright Silver

Almost exactly what I am looking at, 'cept the color and steering wheel controls. I also want the security system, and maybe the RB1 gps system and Sirius radio system.

Hawkeye--are the rebates the same as the 04's? I am ready to order and wondered what the deals would be. Your truck is just like the one I want except auto. It will even be silver. Do you know the rebates? geusterman

geusterman- They said rebates would be the same if they haven't changed by the time the truck comes in. I think rebates are $2500 plus a $300 for a business rebate and they give $100 if you convince a friend to buy. Steve White would be glad to help you on all that info and you can reach him at 828-464-3458. Good luck and congrats in advance... . :)

Hawkeye, you might want to confirm the rebate issue with your dealer. The current $2500 rebates on 04's are set to expire Jan. 2, 04 (see Dodge website) I'd be somewhat surprised if the new 600's have rebates right off the bat. My guess is that the current 04's will continue a rebate to clear off the lots for the new ones, but the 04. 5's won't have anything until March or April at the earliest. I suspect Dodge will want to see how sales go with the new 600 introduction. Just my . 02.

If you put money down on an order your will be locked in at the current rebates. You just have to have money down on the order.

So i've been told

bish

bish is correct - if you fill out and sign an order form and put a deposit, the rebates are locked in at the current level UNLESS they are higher when the truck comes in. You are also "protected" from any price increases. The only restriction I am aware of is that the vehicle must be delivered (deal completed) within 7 days of it's arrival at the dealership. Tomeygun can confirm this.

Hawkeye, have you checked the order status of your truck, mine has already gone to D status. I think you ordered yours about the same time as I did so hopefully yours is too.

I'm trying not to get too excited, I have about two months to go.

Hawkeye:

Placed deposit, ordered 2004 H. O. in October from dealer in NV, delivery scheduled mid-December, but when I discovered new 600 engine (thanks TDR!) I cancelled this order in anticipation of ordering new configuration. (And be 50 state compliant, better for me. )

The dealer cannot place an order for the new 600 Dodge RAM, the DC computers will not let dealers in NV place orders at this time. I sent inquiry to DC, their official reply was that they would not announce when certain states would be able to place orders. "Keep checking... "

I checked with dealers in Southern California, next to no discount off of the MSRP; they are quoting $41,500 for a loaded Larimie. (Not including rebates) NO DISCOUNT! (Demand is high now - they've never had the H. O there) Through TDR, I know I can "shop" other dealers, but I also respect such concepts such as dealer loyalty, friendliness, continuity of service, etc. I'm very happy with my dealer in NV, and want to reward them with same.

Does anyone know when Dodge Dealers in NV might be able to place orders for the new 600 engine?
