Hello everyone, I am new here and just bought my truck saturday. I have noticed that when it idles it randomly hunts for an rpm. I did a search on this forum and found similar complaints, but did not find a solution. The truck only has 250 miles on it, so I was wondering if this is a break-in thing, but now I am starting to wonder if it is a problem. What should I do? I don't like the idea of taking it into the dealer for repairs already, but would feel better if I knew that dodge has a solution waiting for me. Please help, as this i my first new truck and I am getting really bummed out after finding this seems to be a mystery problem.

If you mean it has a 50 rpm or so 'bounce' at idle, all the ETH's seem to. Mine stopped doing it after using Lubtec AFMT in the oil. I didn't do that until about 18K miles though, and I switched to synthetic at the same time. Don't know which was the cure.

yep got mine 2 weeks ago now has 1800 miles and seems to do the same thing, i noticed it mostly when the a/c compressor was cycling on and off, doesn't seem to do it all the time
