Hi Folks!
A terrible virus attacked my wife's laptop (my only internet access)and actually destroyed BIOS files in the EPROM. It had to back to the manufacturer to get reflashed. No internet for damn near six weeks
Anyway, my truck was delivered to the dealer on 11/8, the same day as the $1000 rebates went into effect
. I love this truck! It is so incredibly improved over my 1990 D350 I'm wondering how I managed to do the things I did with the old truck.
Of course I couldn't leave things alone, so the truck now sports an ARE CH series cap without side windows. This cap is cab profile, and without the windows makes the truck look loooong.
I also had the bodyshop that dooes my racecar work paint the lower break and side steps to match the graphics on my truck camper. So I now have a white sport with a teal green band running around the truck from the rear of the front tire wells. A plum stripe seperates the teal from the white. We also debadged the doors (if someones doesn't know what kind of truck this is, 'RAM 3500' ain't gonna help) and installed a set of Cummins/Dodge rear mudflaps.
I still have to install the Grover horns I bought from Rickson and the belly bar and wiring for the camper.
In 1400 miles, I've gotten a best of 18 MPG on a 40 mile Interstate romp and am probably getting about 15 on my short commute to work.
Sorry for the length, but six weeks and no net is tough!
