New truck order

Let me tell you. I was hot the other day when I called my dealer to see how the progress is going on my new mega cab laramie order. When I have been calling for the past month everything is ok. I called the other day and they told me after a month had gone by, my truck hadnt even been started on yet. They havent even twisted the first bolt. The bad thing is, is that it was promised to be here by the end of march. So much for that. I guess i will get over it but when you are expecting that one phone call and you find out it hasnt been started yet!! Its not a good day.

I feel your pain partner! I ordered my new '06 3/23. My dealer said the last diesel he ordered took two weeks to build & 3 weeks to ship. 5 weeks from mexico to Akron, Ohio. I said 5 weeks he said sure no problem.

Time will tell!!! I only hope he is right, but am not betting any money on it.

The dealer told me the same thing It was ordered Feb. 22 and now they say the end of April. I should get It this summer I hope. The dealer would go and get It today If he could. It money In his pocket when you take It off his lot. Mine Is a Laramie short bed,4 door,diesel,automatic. When It get here I will be ready I guess. Oo.

I ordered mine on 2/22 also . it is BG status, no Vin yet. I was told they only take so many orders ,and I will get in on the next cycle. :{

Mine was ordered 12/16/2005 by DSM, the first one was ordered in the wrong paint and interior colors. It was re ordered the middle of Jan. and was supposed to ship 2/23. Now no one can find it. DC customer service says it shipped on 2/23 but can't find a railcar number and DSM says they can't find anything either but if DC is telling me it shipped then it must have (yeah right).

I ordered 1/31. It showed up at DSM yesterday. A little over 7 weeks.

I went to the dealer on 1/23, they ordered 1/25 and now I expect delivery on or before 4/3. They said my 3500, auto, srw, qc, sb was shipped... so time will tell.

just got off the phone with Dodge,Truck is still BG . They said there is a materials shortage. meaning There is an option I have on my truck that they are out of and will not build till they get a new supply of that option.

called the dealer to see what option that is because Dodge said they don't know. waiting to here back from dealer

Yeah, I think that is the problem with mine. The dealer told me that they have been making the mega cabs the past four weeks but none of the mega cab laramies. It must have something to do with something on the laramie that they are out of. We shall see.

Last year they were short on ...

Adjustable power pedals. My freinds truck was built without them. If he had them, I would have bought his. He wants a Megacab. Oh Well. Good Luck.

I don't get it,You have a bunch of guys looking to give 40 to 50 thousand to dodge and they won't take it. and they wonder why car manufactures are in trouble

Not so much that the makers are in trouble, but the RR's are too. My employer Union Pacific is a preferred carrier for Chrysler and business is way up and they can't keep up with it. More track, locomotives and employees would help. It is hard for us to keep up with GM in Arlington Tx and they load and unload railcars right next door to the rail yard. I know Burlington Northern is having growing pains as well.

I'am thinking about ordering the same truck in your signature, color, trans and all except mine will be 4X4, need it for the winters up here.

Question, How does it handle your camper and is it a shortbox? Thanks
