I recently bought a 99. I am in the process of prepping my 98 for selling purposes.

The ride in the 99 is more like a one ton compared to the 98. How can you tell if it has the camper options. There are overload springs on the 99 but not on the 98.

How inaccurate is the overhead mpg est. ?and is it consistently wrong?

If you have the overloads then you most likely have the camper package. Do you have the sway bar behind the rear deferential?

The camper package should include the sway bar and the overloads bot simple to look for and see. My truck is a 99 alos, and for my personal experience the overhead trip computer mpg's etc are very accurate, but I am also mostly stock as far as the motor goes. Usually compared to calculating by hand, I am only about . 1 mpg off over a 35 to forty gallon range and I think that is acceptable.

Big Daddy,

Mine was on the money while I was stock. I am not sure which made it read crazy, the injectors or the box.
