Looking to Buy a Used Truck

Oil Changes

I recently purchased a 2000 QC LB Auto. It appears stock but there is some evidence of previous experiments like velcro on the fuse box. Is there any good method to determin if the injector or transmission have been upgraded? I took careof the sterring box and vacum pump leak new I want to move on to an FASS and then some bombs. I hate to fix a transmission that doesn't need fixin. I'm in the Ogden area of Utah and any help would be much appreciated.

Test drive a known stock version of a truck like yours and you will have a good clue to where it is in relation.

More on the truck

transmission appears stock. Pulled off the cover below the TC and it is all welded steel. When I flushed it after the purchase 2 mo. ago the fluid wasn't horrible but there was a couple spoonfuls worth of crud on the magnet.

I have driven a '99 version of the exact same truck and it felt weaker with harder shifts.
