new truck

Well i went to Greeley yesterday and bought my new 2006 Dodge ram 3/4 ton quad cab with the laramie package. Its all black and has the sunroof to boot. I love this truck. I can already tell it runs as good if not better than my 02 powerstroke with a banks bighoss and sixgun. Now i just have to get it broke in and wait for some mods to come out for it. What all would you guys recommend after i get the necessary gauges intake and exhaust? Nothing too big to start with as i dont want to upgrade the transmission yet. Thanks

Sounds like you are on the right track for mods. Maybe just an EZ or something that will give you a little extra umph... and also has boost fooling. How bout some pics!!

You know, I have considered the mods myself but found that the '05 has so much dang power stock that I don't know why I would need a power upgrade. I just hauled my Bobcat over the mountains on Sunday. I am able to pass cars and run the mountain passes like Monarch so fast that more power would be redundant. In fact I would be more apt to do a convertor and valve body to get the existing power down than to make more power. Just a thought.

Damn, both TST and Edge are working on their stuff for 06 models. I've read that the EZ will work, but I don't know.

Power has very little to do with NEED... . it's the I wana, gotta, have... . no such thing as too much power.

ill get pics up as soon as i take some. i am having way too much fun driving the dang thing. already has 350 miles on it lol. Will probably be close to 1000 after this weekend as i am taking it on a trip to my buddies ranch in northwestern NE
