We'll I have been looking for a newer truck to drive for a while now and findly found one a block from my house no less. It's a 96 with 139000 on it so I figured it would be a good one. It's bone stock under the hood for now anyway. I plan to get it up around 300-350 HP but I'm gonna get the trans built first. I do have a couple questions though. First what trans does the 96 have 47rh or re and what plate would be a good one for this application. I am going to grind my own but I was thinking like a 100 plate or is this going to be too much fuel on top. I plan on keeping the hx-35 and have edm'd 370's in the future.

TIA

Cade

A 96 should have an RE in it.

A #100 plate would probably be ok for a 180 pump. Or a #6, that may work well too.

I think a 100, edm 370's and a 180pump may be to much fuel for a HX35, you will probably want a 35/40 hybrid at minimum.

Congrats on the new truck, you will love it!!
