new truck!!!!!

i believe i have finially found the truck, not many come up for sale down here in FL,



it is a '06 2500 mega cab, milage is 17265, blue, auto, 5. 9l, no major issues, non smoker,, no dinks, dents, wrecks, stains tears, carfax checks out, i will take it to a cummins shop to look it over mechanically. they want $31k and change for it.



is there any major problems out that you all have had, i know about the a/c door and any major tsb that i should be weary of?

If possible stay with the 2006. The new 07s with the 6. 7 are full of problems. Mostly the DP exhaust problem amongst many others. I think Dodge really stepped in it with the new emissions stuff.



From your description it appears the price is about correct. I ran a 2006 Mega Cab for the Seattle Tacoma area and it came up with $32,,145 for a SLT 2WD, CTD, and $34,590 for the same with 4WD. You didn't mention what trim line and what options you were buying. I have a 06 Mega Cab and am very pleased with it. I have the 6 sp G56 for towing a heavy fifth wheel and really appreciate it for towing.

Another 3-4k and you could get a new 07 w/ a 5. 9. My Mega Dually was around 35k and stickered for 43k.

yea, new retail is around $43k, it is an slt trim power everything, and 4wd.

i would rather have an '07but few and far to find. and they do not stay very long on the market.

My dealer had to go about 400 miles to get mine, have a dealer do a nationwide search and see where there is one.

Price seems about right to me. I have an 06' for sale, but 4X4, Laramie, and some additioinal adds that I am asking 38k for. A comparable new truck is selling for 46k
