So how does Dodge rank over Federal Law, it is against Federal Law to pump LSD (500PPM) into a model year 2007 or later Diesel engine, only ULSD (15PPM) may be used. Dodge says its okay to break Federal Law, hmmm, I wonder what other Laws they say I can break and they will back me?

Those sticker on the gas pumps are an oversimplification. The engine that require to run on ULSD aren't required to be built until Jan 1, 07. There are 07 Fords and Dodges on the road right now, they are the same as the 06's, they aren't required to run ULSD, which is good because I haven't seen a single pump that has it. The goverment doesn't care about model years, they care about build dates, so it's up to the owner to know if their truck requires the fuel or not.



When trying to come up with simple to read stickers, they're always going to error on the side of safety. And that is someone pumping ULSD into an 07 that doesn't require it, as opposed to pumping LSD into an 07 that does require ULSD.

What about those of us who go to Mexico and buy diesel for $1. 80 a gallon, sulphur content unknown... ..... ran my 01 for 100k on it with no problems, now the 06 says LSD only??

I just bought my truck two weeks ago, and the dealer, after I asked, confirmed that my truck has the 10 micron filter on it.



I really think they should replace the filter, since the TSB came out before the truck was sold. What do you guys think, do I have a chance at winning this arguement?

The pumps around where I live have been pumping ULS fuel for the past two months!

I've been wondering the same thing. . . I would venture to guess Mexico does not have ULSD available. Guess we won't be able to cross the Mexican border legally with our '07s :-laf

Should I still use the 7 Micron filter?? I wonder what changed in March? Different injectors??

My truck has the 7 micron in it right from the factory. FS19800E. They should change it for you.
