Sport Truck Shootout (Drag Race!)

Who's Ready For Thunder in Muncie?

That is a good point about strapping the axle down instead of the frame... . But my truck made 550. 8 Saturday and pegged the 1200ft-lb limit at 1800 rpm and the tires never spun? The bottle seemed to be hitting harder than it was Saturday. Oh well I just wanted to make 550 with a stock HX35/12cm and stock exhaust, I guess it is time for a turbo and exhaust! 600????

WOW!

It was a great show Guys, to say the least!!!

Really Glad I decided to come down at the last minute.

I had a little trouble on the way home after me and Greg Split off to go our ways.

I lost the left rear tire, Dunno what happened but the sidewall just ripped out.

Well finaly made it home at 11:30.

It was great fun guys Hope all of you can come to KC pretty soon.

Adam

Looks like y'all had fun... ..... sorry m and John didn't make it.

We had the bright idea of putting in a pusher pump Saturday night..... all would have been fine... IF we had fuel line to finish it off! Anyhow congragulations to everyone... ... .....

I was gonna pop in John's stage IV injectors... ..... (whole reason we did the pusher pump)... . but just changed the turbo instead.

Truely sorry we m issed it, me and John kicked ourselves all day... ... but when we got my truck up and running we went and played... ...

Oh ya, I am back in NE now.

Don't take this the wrong way but why are you so keen on staying with the stock turbo? Get a real turbo (or two) and you will make more power by utilizing more available air.

Like I said was jsut curious.

Did somebody write down all the dyno #'s and track times so they could be posted? Inquiring minds want to know... ...

Doug

The timing lights are turned off in the midnight drags so no times were posted. Street racers dont like others to know how fast or slow they are going so... . no times are given. Just heads up racing a few bucks exchange hands:D

I was so busy gettin to know the other guys... . I did not have the time to write down the others numbers.

Don~

Dont worry Kat, The turbo is the next thing to be changed. I just wanted to do it because everyone says you cant make over 350HP with stock exhaust, or 400 with a stock turbo

Dunno who said all that, but all of those things are possible, its just no fun is all. And you proved it to yourself...

I made 447hp with a PDR HX35 (my truck orginally had the HY35 soit wouldn't have made it)... . the turbo swapping just makes it that much more fun. The exhaust I changed in the beginning because I wanted better sound.

Glad to see all you guys putting up some good numbers.

Don seeing that white smoke on the dyno drum was impressive.

Im sure you were losing some HP there with that slippage.

Jonathon, Im equally impressed with that bad a** truck of yours.

550HP and looking at the graph Im guessing 1400 ft/lbs.

I was pretty dissapointed having driven 300 miles and have the clutch slip like that. I know I cant be pushing the clutch to its limit.

Don you hit 450 with the ConO!

It was fun though. It was good to meet all the guys that I see on the TDR. Rob(RAMTHIS1) DonM, Jon(HiPerf360) , Greg(GREGS PSD) even though you drive a FERD,

Mark Kendrick, I want to ride in your truck the next time we meet. Sorry you couldnt get that cam put in there. Im sure we will hear what its putting down when you get it back together. I almost needed a tow from that Nissan your sister loaned you!

And all the others I left out, hope to see you again.

Well guys,

I just got home about an hour ago, loooooooooooong and LOUD ,drive:) It was real nice to meet everyone there,I had a great time, can't wait for the next event, I belive it's Muncie, much shorter drive, I hope ya'll make the drive east:D

See ya, Rob

Sorry I missed this event. I planned on being there but on Friday I was forced to go to the doctor, got kinda sick and he ended up putting me on Cipro (no I was not exposed to Antrax). Still laid up, but I hope to catch some of you guys at the next event. Maybe I will see some of you at the Cummins open house in KCMO May 18. I was really looking forward to the dyno and watching you guys put up the big numbers.

Jerry Dodge took pics of everyones dyno numbers? I wonder if he wrote them down or if he will chime in with some pics. Was he a TDR member? lol I forgot to ask his board name, got everyone elses though. Jerry if you read this e-mail me -- email address removed --
