Just a quick question to everyone out there that has installed a new PDR turbo. Just looking for any gotchas or tricks to make the job easier. I just hate having to do othings twice because of my own ignorance. So any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance
What turbo are you installing? Hx 35 Hx40 Hx 50 ? Best advice I can give is NOT to do it when HOT! well duh The back bottom bolt is harder to get to than the rest so have the right size wrench for that bolt. The rest is fairly easy.
With the 40 you will need/get? a new down pipe and clamp do you already have a 4 inch exhaust? if so that shouldn't be a problem. My Hx40 from PDR was not anywhere near clocked right but it was a little different turbo to start with I guess but most are clocked right as far as I hear. One other thing I can think of right now is you will probably want to start the bolt closest to the engine block on the drain line first if there is any tweeking needed it will be easyer to start the outside bolt last.
Good luck
Craig
P. S. Is this your first mod? You may want to fill in your signature more with other mods or what not so it is easyer to answer ? or help out.
