Finally did my first pull with the new Super B. Good test too, as the south wind was strong. Did not have time to slide the plate back to where it was two weeks ago, when I thought I was going to dyno. With it full forward, I can run strong at 68 mph or so with 30 plus psi and keep the egt's less than 1100 degrees. The fifth wheel is heavy and catches a lot of wind, so I think I have made a good improvement over the hx35. This thing will run 35 psi or more with no problem. Think I will slide the plate back a tad and see if it will hold the load as it does now. Guess I am trying to say I am pleased. Now, if I can just get this BD exhaust brake to work as the old Ram Brake did. Time to get back on the line with Pat.

How heavy is your trailer?I'm looking at that turbo as a choice to cool my egt's when pulling uphill. Mine is about 10,000 lbs and up hill I have to back out of it to cool the egt( I still have a half of the pedal to use,but my temps go over 1200 and keep going)I have a #6 plate,DD 11's,4" exhaust,Afe filter, and an Arc Flo intake.

Iwas looking at the PDR super s300(same as the B-D super B) or the HTp2 62/12 from HTT. The PDR is cheaper so if yours is working good it will help with my decision.

It is a 34ft at 14k empty. Looks like you are running more fuel than I am. I was going to go with DDIIs, but was told I probably could not keep it cool while towing. May give it a try anyway just for grins.

Today will be another good test, as have a long uphill pull just as we enter the interstate leaving the RV park, with no way to get a run at it. One of the members has a good quote. "Fuel till you smoke, air till youre broke. " Doesn't cost a lot to increase the fuel, but trying to cool things off gets a bit pricey.

Good luck with yours.

Well, today with no wind, I was able to run 35# on a grade and not get over 1100 egts. Still room to go with the right foot also. Probably pulls better than it ever has. Hope I don't break something now.

I am running a little more fuel than you but my trailer is lighter so that turbo may work equally well for me. Let me know how you make out on your climb up thehill to the interstate(you can PM me if you like). I used to hate starting out going uphill till i got my Goerends transmission, what a difference. It now actually accelerates up hill instead of just making noise and not going anywhere
